Through the Safer Crowded Places project, innovative and advanced data analytics technology is being trialed at Sydney Olympic Park to boost crowd safety and improve people's experience during major events. This technology uses data from CCTV cameras, weather conditions, and live social media posts to alert the Sydney Olympic Park team to changes in crowd sentiment.
The Safer Crowded Places pilot and new Dynamic Crowd Measurement (DCM) technology is being delivered by Sydney Olympic Park Authority in partnership with DCM and as part of the NSW Government’s Smart Places Acceleration program.
